PANELISTS

Adele Mowry-Millar - Director, Freight Tranz Transport
I’ve worked in transport for over 25 years, starting out in rail and intermodal logistics with Toll before moving into what later became KiwiRail in New Zealand. From there, I spent eight years in freight forwarding (in Australia), building experience across complex supply chains and international movements.
Six years ago, I founded Freight Tranz. We specialise in domestic and international freight across air, sea, road, and rail. What began with me working from a home office has grown into a warehouse operation, a small fleet of trucks, and a fantastic team of people.

Christy Davidson - Director, Logistics Operations, Asia Pacific, Metso
Christy Davidson is the Director of Logistics Operations APA at Metso and sits on the Senior Executive Board for the Asia Pacific region. With over twenty years of experience in supply chain and logistics, Christy has led large‑scale operational transformations across APA, including warehouse migrations, delivery‑performance improvement programs, and system cutovers. Christy is known for building strong partnerships, driving operational excellence, and leading teams through complex change with clarity and confidence.
Alongside her operational expertise, Christy is an active mentor in Metso’s global programs, supporting colleagues in developing confidence, resilience, and growth‑mindset leadership. Her mentoring approach is grounded in transparency, empathy, and psychological safety, reflecting her commitment to building strong, capable teams across the region.
Christy is also currently studying Law at Murdoch University, driven by a passion for advocacy, problem‑solving, and continual professional growth. This combination of deep industry experience and legal studies gives Christy a unique perspective on leadership, negotiation, and decision‑making in dynamic operational environments.

Jana McLaren - Commercial Officer Mining , Freight Lines Group
Jana is an experienced planner and efficiency manager with a demonstrated history of working in the management consulting industry. Skilled in negotiation, business planning, operations management, analytical skills, and coaching, Jana is a strong program and project management professional.

Laura Byrnes - Human Resources Manager, Mediterranean Shipping Company (Aust.) Pty Ltd

Laura Byrnes is the Human Resources Manager for MSC Australia, leading HR Advisory, Administration, Employment Relations, and Health and Safety while supporting strategic HR and HSE initiatives locally and globally.
