SPEAKERS
Kim has more than 25 years of leadership experience across architecture, strategy and stakeholder engagement. She has held senior roles focused on industry advocacy, business leadership and shaping outcomes for communities across Queensland. Kim also served as the former Member for Redlands in the Queensland Parliament, bringing valuable public policy and government insight to her work. She is passionate about leadership, collaboration and creating more inclusive futures across industry and community.
Magenta Thorley - Manufacturing Planning Manager, Sunny Queen Magenta Thorley is a strategic supply chain and operations leader with deep expertise in procurement strategy and multi‑site operational planning. Beginning her career in manufacturing and progressing into frontline supervision, she gained an inclusive, hands‑on understanding of the realities, challenges, and contribu-tions that shape operational success.
This experience grounds her perspective and underpins her ability to excel across the wider supply chain. Magenta is currently the Manufacturing Planning Manager at Sunny Queen and serves as a committee member on the Intersectionality Advisory Committee for the National Association of Women in Operations, contributing to industry‑wide efforts that strengthen equity and representation for diverse women in operations. Recognised for delivering meaningful efficiency and commercial improvements, Magenta champions inclusive, high‑performance cultures and ensures diverse, intersectional perspectives strengthen decision‑making and support sustainable operational success.
Sarah Sigley - Queensland Volunteer Coordinator, OzHarvest Sarah is passionate about using the power of OzHarvest's incredible volunteers to meet operational and strategic goals. With a background in education and Development Studies, she enjoys the day-to-day challenges of working for an NGO: how to improve systems and processes to find harmony between pragmatic and ideal solutions! In her personal life, she loves bushwalking and spoiling her dogs.
