David Smith Director and Founder: Inception Leadership

David is a seasoned professional with over 15 years of experience in the Transport & Logistics Industry. Throughout his career, he has managed sites, built training solutions, provided organisational development solutions to recruitment and retention challenges, and challenged the norms within the industry as we face ongoing challenges from other “sexier” industries like tech, healthcare and renewable energies.

Recently, David actively engaged in industry groups such as the Transport & Logistics Industry Connect group and the Queensland Trucking Association Skills Advisory Panel, looking to drive positive change across industry.

Over the past six years, David has dedicated his efforts to addressing the challenges and opportunities facing the industry. Now through his own business, David works closely with business to create leaders with the tools to create and run high performing teams, driven by connected purpose. David has a focus on providing leadership training, coaching, and support to leaders and teams both in and out of industry.

As a guest facilitator at this Supply Chain and Logistics Workshop, David brings a wealth of practical experience and strategic vision to the table.

Jenny Gill - Group Partnerships Manager, The BUSY Group

Jenny commenced at The BUSY Group (BUSY) in 2018 as the Corporate Solutions Manager leading a small team to manage the group wide sales strategies promoting all the services BUSY has to offer to key Industry stakeholders and larger employers located across a national footprint.

Recently moving into the role of Group Partnerships Manager, Jenny works more closely with Industry Associations to provide education and support to them and their members in the areas of recruitment, training, traineeships & apprenticeships, retention, and staff health.

Jenny brings a wealth of expertise and knowledge across many industry sectors and has extensive experience in the Vocational Education and Training sector spanning 20 plus years.
