Saskia Groen-in't-Woud - Chief Strategy & Sustainability Officer, Pacific National

Saskia Groen-in’t-woud was appointed Chief Strategy and Sustainability Officer of the Pacific National Group in May 2023. In this role Ms. Groen-in’t-woud is responsible for strategy, sustainability, information technology, network access, property management and terminal capacity.

Prior to joining the Pacific National Group, Ms. Groen-in’t-woud was Managing Director of CRH Australia’s concrete products business from August 2021 to April 2023. Ms. Groen-in’t-woud joined Maersk in October 2016 where she progressed from Chief Operating Officer Asia to Global CEO of Damco, leaving in August 2021 to return to Australia post Covid.

Prior to her time at Maersk, Ms. Groen-in’t-woud held senior operational roles at Holcim in Switzerland and the Philippines with remits that took her around the world to over 60 countries.

A lifelong sailor, Saskia has a passion for short-handed long offshore challenges and will be competing in the Sydney to Noumea Yacht Race in May, Sydney to Hobart in December and Melbourne to Osaka in March next year.  She competes with her co-skipper, Maud Demazure, and together, they are both mothers of sons.  In their yacht racing, they pursue being competitive as well finding ways to work smarter, be resilient and strategic in their approach.  You can follow them on ‘the mothership sailing’.

Mia Barnard - Transport Decarbonisation Lead, GHD

Mia is the Australian Lead for Transport Decarbonisation at GHD, a global, multidisciplinary professional services firm that grew from a small engineering practice in Melbourne, Australia, in 1928 into the global professional services company it is today with over 11,000 employees in 200 offices on five continents.
Mia has a bold vision of what the future of transport could look like and understands the power of the transport ecosystem to create connected and thriving communities.  She brings a unique combination of senior leadership and international experience forged by the balanced portfolios she held over the last 23 years.

Cassandra Lee - Logistics Executive's Global Managing Partner | HR Consulting & Recruitment Practices

Cassandra has provided executive-level Corporate Advisory, Performance and Talent Leadership Consulting and Executive Search services to organisations globally.

Working with leading Australasian headquartered and global businesses, she has facilitated the growth and transformation of firms across the public, private, ASX listed, PE & VC-backed spectrum.

She is passionate about effective leadership and committed to her clients success, offering 20 years of industry experience which delivers profitable and sustainable leadership change. Her proven and highly successful approach combines strategic analysis with rigorous process driven execution, couple with extensive experience of successfully driving businesses across Australasia and Greater Asia.

A regular contributor of thought leadership to industry and media, she is frequently invited to chair discussions on contemporary and future industry trends and leadership issues.

Prior to joining C-Suite Partners to lead the rapidly growing Australasia business, Cassandra was a Partner with HI Executive Consulting based in Hong Kong, a global retained search firm supporting organisations’ through digital transformation. Earlier, Cassandra held the role of General Manager with an Australian headquartered global specialist search firm and was based in Singapore, Hong Kong and Sydney.

Belinda Shannon, Forklift Trainer & Assessor, The BUSY Group

Belinda recently joined One Stop Training, a part of The BUSY Group, in October 2023, stepping into the role of Forklift Trainer & Assessor.
Her journey began in supermarkets right after leaving school, where she climbed the ranks, eventually assuming various Department Manager positions. A shift led her to a major chain distribution centre, starting as a picker and evolving through loader and forklift operator roles and then transitioned into a Training role, passing on her experience to the next generation.
With an extensive career spanning over 30 years in the Supermarket and Warehousing Industry, Belinda brings a wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience. As a female professional thriving in a traditionally male-dominated industry, Belinda not only boasts professional expertise but also carries with her personal insights on navigating and contributing to a diverse workplace. Her unique journey reflects her ability to not just coexist but to thrive and belong in the dynamic landscape of her field.
